Thank you for your interest in Peachtree Properties.
I am a native of Fayetteville and I have been in the Real Estate Industry since 1982. After working with a local firm for 14 years, I opened Peachtree Properties in 1996. I am most proud of our company logo that I personally designed. I take great pride in the appearance of our office, our signs, the Builders that are associated with Peachtree, as well as the Broker Associates. I am thrilled of the positive reputation that Peachtree has created over the past 12 years and the repeated referrals that reputation has created.
Unlike major franchise firms, Peachtree Properties is very selective in the agents that represent the firm. Each agent is carefully selected based on professionalism, a conservative appearance, vocabulary and ability to communicate with Buyers and Sellers. All associates are full time broker associates specializing in Existing and New Home Sales. Peachtree Properties does not associate with part time agents. I would not hire a part time doctor, a part time attorney, nor a part time REALTOR.
Extensive training is conducted within a 3 week period. Training is conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm for two consecutive weeks. The first week of training will begin with Agency Relationships, Contracts, all aspects of Contracts from contract to closing. The second week will emphasize on preparing for listing appointments and preparing accurate market analysis. I will personally accompany you on your first year of listing appointments. I will conduct role playing at Open Houses in the third week of training. Open House opportunity can sometimes be long and discouraging, however the financial rewards far outweigh those times. It is important that you take the time in Open House to create other avenues of leads. Our associates call this “killing three birds with one stone.”
Regardless of the company an Agent is associated with, agents must join the Fayetteville Association of Realtors and obtain a Supra Key which is paid directly to the FAR. In addition agents must obtain a North Carolina Privilege License paid to the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Associates must have a 4 door professional vehicle and obtain an annual Workman’s Comp policy each year, that may be deducted from agents first closing check. Agents will only be assessed $80 a month in expenses … $60 monthly dues for Fayetteville Association of Realtors and $20 Errors and Omission insurance, these fees are deducted as commissions occur. There are no hidden fees.
The majority of leads are generated from Open House opportunity. Leads are also gathered from internet and company referrals. Associates also have the opportunity for office duty to generate leads. However, associates also should generate personal leads through neighbors, friends and family.
Peachtree Properties offers a generous commission schedule with no office fees, franchise fees, or referral fees to the company. Peachtree maintains top of the line office equipment, computers and printers in beautiful decorated offices. Agents are not asked to share in the cost of company advertising. Associates are able to display personal advertising of Peachtree’s inventory at their cost, if they so desire. Commission agreement is in writing with only a one year non-compete clause. I offer 26 years of experience and training for only a one year non-compete clause. In the event that agent breaks the non-compete clause in the first year, agent will be assessed a $1500.00 training fee, otherwise, training is free. I am personally in the office daily between 8am and 5pm for your continued training and support. There are absolutely no company fees for referrals.
Peachtree will provide your first set of 1000 business cards, personalized car magnets, training manual, policy and procedures manual, name tag and personal yard sign riders. Peachtree also provides all signage; yard and open house signs, balloons, strings, helium as well as usage of Supra lock boxes.
Peachtree currently ranks 7th with the Board of Realtors for production. In 2007, Peachtree generated 92 million in sales with under 30 agents. Peachtree associates are top earners. There is a splendid graduated commission schedule for new homes listed by Peachtree.
When interviewing a company, associates should inquire about the following:
- Number of full time and part time agents.
- Monthly fees for association of firm.
- Average annual income of agents.
- Amount of Home Inventory, New and Existing homes.
- Does the Broker in Charge compete against Associates?
- What experience does the Owner/Broker-In-Charge have?
- Is the Broker-In-Charge actually in the office?
- Daily and Continuous Training from Broker-In-Charge.
- Referral Fees for Company Leads.
- Does company provide signs and Supra boxes?
- Appearance and Location of Office.
- Longevity of Support Staff and Employees.
